TL;DR
This post is about Risk Analysis of my personal series of unfortunate events.
Introduction
Risk Analysis is preparation how would you handle or avoid possible events that have negative effects on project outcomes.
Example
I went to ElixirEU conference in Prague. Flight was scheduled at 7.00 am on Saturday, so I could explore Prague during the weekend. Conference was scheduled on Monday. With that schedule, I minimized risk of canceled flight and missing the conference first day. Early flight meant that my alarm went off at 4.00 am.
At Friday evening, I went to see Captive State movie. At 8.00 pm, while I was waiting in the movie theatre, I got the message from my apartment building manager that due to emergency situation, our building will be without water till further notice.
Risk Analysis
I always have 10 liters of water in my flower watering tanks. Current amount was about 7 liters. I had 40 wet wipes that I always buy when I travel.
I come home at Friday midnight, still no water. It was to late to take a shower at my friends place. Risk is bad smell for my airplane seat neighbor.
Alarm went off, still no water. Did basic washing with wet wipes, tooth brushing and face washing with water supply. No bad smells. I will do shower when I arrive in Prague hotel for my better filing. Early flight, and plane was not full, I am siting alone, no risk for my airplane neighbor.
Arrived in Prague. Took Uber to hotel. Driver warned me that there is Prague marathon, and it would take more time to arrive at the destination.
Risk analysis. As conference is on Monday, no risk from my side.
Conclusion
