In the previous post, we discussed which testing activities could be automated to make testing less expensive. It is time to recap the first section from the book Activities Of Test Engineer. The best way to practice software testing is to do an actual testing activity. Let’s do the exercise. We will introduce you to software testing based on the remarkable book, Introduction To Software Testing by Paul Ammann and Jeff Offutt.
Software Testing Levels In Development Organization
We learned in Beizer Testing Levels that development organization could be in any of four levels. Let’s imagine that you are a freelancing software tester, and you assessed that client’s development organization is at Level 2 of software testing. You decided to move them to level 3.
How would you explain to the client what is level 2 software testing organization, and what are the disadvantages of that level?
What is level 3 software testing organization, and what are the benefits of that level?
Give an example of a workshop that could help the development team to move towards the level 3 software testing organization. Which workshop would not help?
Please provide your answers in Google Form, Beizer Testing Levels Exercise.
