TL;DR

This post is about my accidental test of the bus station stop button.

This summer, my car was in the shop, due to a close encounter with a reckless driver. The damage was covered by reckless driver insurance, but I was without a car for three weeks. It was vacation time, and also there is a significant shortage of any skilled workforce in Croatia.

The car was finally repaired, and I took a bus to the shop. I never used the bus on that route, so I advised Google Maps on which stop I should go off.

Here is ZET (bus operator is company owned by the city of Zagreb) business rule:

If you need to go off on less frequent bus stations, press the red button with STOP text to notify the driver.

The reason for this rule is time-saving and less fuel consumption. The question is, what is notification?

I pressed the button, but the driver did not stop. I did not push it hard enough, so the push was not recorded. You know for sure that it is recorded when the bells go off and STOP sign in the front part of the bus turns into the yellow color.

What was damaged? It was forty degrees celsius outside, and I had to walk back for twenty minutes. Not a pleasant experience.
